Beliefs: Health & Aging

Beliefs about aging and Health are beliefs that we were given from generation to generation. We received validity to this belief by reading articles, from our peers, and learn about them from communication with people in the health industry about health and aging. Although these things may be true, they are not our destiny.

All of these things that were given to us through experiences, or what society has seen, has become our norm.  Either way, these are beliefs that have shaped and controlled the way we view our health and the aging process.

We go through life telling ourselves that at a certain time, we will experience what we witnessed, heard, or read about the aging process.  The process has some truth to it due to, as we get older, our bodies begin to experience a change.  However, the change we experience will depend on the changes occurring within our cells.  The health of our cells will dictate how we are in our health and aging process.

It is our jobs to become curious about our bodies to discover what we need.  Our body has a great way of letting us know its needs.  Our job is to be self-aware and listen and hear what the body is saying. Our next response is to honor the body by providing the necessary need.  When you do this, you will notice how your body responds positively.

Tips on assisting a healthy aging process.

* Be willing to discover what your mind, body, and soul needs.

* Eat regular balanced healthy meals.

* Limit your exposer to stressful situations

* Deal with stress. Discovering where the stress is coming from.

* Love yourself truly by taking care of your needs first.

* plenty of rest

YOU are uniquely you. No other has the answers for you but you.
