Self-care is essential

Self- Care is one of the most important aspects in our lives. Some believe giving to others is more important than taking care of self. Without taking care of self, how can you give to others?

We give to others out of the overflow. If you are constantly feeling drained, tired, spaced out, sad, insecure, or even unworthy, how can you show up for those who feel the same way or worse?

Self-care is the best gift you can give to your family, friends, and co-workers. We are all made up of energy. When we feel these negative energy surges through our body, others feel the negative energy as well. They may not know or understand what they are feeling but nonetheless, the feeling flows from us to them.

Take some time to do self-care and see how your energy will improve your state of being.

Tips:

  • Create affirmations of self worth to yourself and write it where you can see it daily

  • Make sure you give quality time to yourself first in quiet

  • Do self examinations of your feelings and emotional state.

  • Go for walks in the fresh air

  • Get plenty of rest, at least 6-8 hours.
